Initial tests with the embossing plates for the other cities on greyboard just to see the kind of impression we could make. Also on our first mock up we went in and embossed straight onto the bookrum and some dirt from the plate was transferred onto the cover, so this may also clean the plate a little and remove the risk of ruining the final cover.
